Some people just put you at ease when in their presence. Life feels low key, you don’t second guess anything that comes out of your mouth, there aren’t going to be any arguments over anything and you’re pretty sure no matter what happens things are just going to be ok. Know what I mean? Peggy and John are those people! This no stress wedding day came with a wee bit of rain, but it didn’t matter. Not even a smidgen. They are just happy people! And I love surrounding myself with (and photographing!) happy people. Let’s get straight to the photos…
You know I have to start off with something shiny. Just because I can. ;)
Peggy’s pretty beaded Maggie Sottero gown.
John and the guys were a hoot. I get the feeling that John is the one that always gets picked on. And he gets his smile from both his mom and dad. I can’t decide which!John I don’t think that fits you anymore. Teeny tiny bonnet on a giant head. And then this happened. The whole series of photos is priceless. Here’s one of my faves.Peggy got John the perfect gift. She framed up some of their Soulard engagement photos with the actual cardinals ticket stubs from their first date. Tear.Peggy liked hers too! I think the blue bag gives it away. Serene dressing moment. Before the madness of the day… So lovely. I know you worked for that bod Peggy! You looked amazing. Off to the church! St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Dogtown was right in line with their Irish heritage. It was my first time there and I thought it was beautiful. The bagpipes leading them back down the aisle was the perfect touch! And off to the park! To try not to get too soggy. It was a wee bit squishy but Peggy and John handled it like champs! Love the knobby knee trees. One more quick stop on the way to the reception. I lied one MORE quick stop on the way to the reception. A quick celebratory drink at the Dubliner! Our final destination – the reception at Windows on Washington. With all of the pretty details! Gorgeous flowers by Jenny at Stems. Welcoming the newlyweds! Toasts really are my favorite.A special Irish blessing song. Thank you for being so awesome to work with! You seriously made my job extra easy and fun. You’re the best! With love, Liz
