I am a strange mix of happy and sad as I write this post. The Singer women have been in my life for a long time! Deb and Sam were married in 2013 at the Muny. Still my only wedding ceremony and reception in that location to date! And then Ruth and Ari’s soiree at the Four Seasons in 2017 was spectacular. And last but not least, these two! I have been thoroughly impressed with each and every one of these ladies. Deb, the genius coder who worked for Google, and then went her own way building successful apps. Ruth, no I’m sorry, Dr. Singer with a PhD from Columbia. And Rebeccah, flourishing performer with her own comedy show in Chicago (NOT an easy industry and even tougher for a female comedian!) Is that a pretty cool group of sisters or what?! Anyway, this is the last one. And it was such a great finale. I’m going to miss you all so much!
Ha! I had to.
Meet the first grandchild…cutiepie baby Noa!
Both Rebeccah’s smile and her laugh are contagious.
Alright Steve, you’re not wearing full on jogging clothes this time, so it’s a slight improvement. ;)
Off to spend a few minutes with Lior! I feel thus far I’ve let down the men who have married the Singer women. Props are certainly due. First of all, I love a man who can not only handle, but LOVES a strong woman. But these guys are all pretty spectacular in their own rights. Sam the lawyer, Ari the scientist and Lior the musician…all super successful, talented and sweet. You did well ladies!
That card from Rebeccah says “I was right.” Long story. Good but long.
The butt grab may be my favorite approach to the first look scenario.
Gorgeous!
Totally on point: muted blue gray tones with a pop of berry. Love!
Off to the Caramel Room at Bissinger’s to make this thing official!
Sweet moment with Grandma during the Tisch.
Here they come!
The bride has been veiled. It is time!
I believe in life that we should always strive for new experiences. Well, this one was delivered to me through no effort of my own. Just as Lior came down the aisle, a few tiny rain drops began to grace the terrace. And as the bridal party processed they became more and more pronounced. The string instruments would not be able to continue playing in the light drizzle, so the fabulous Simcha had no choice but to put us on rain delay. Truly, I would have made the same call to start the ceremony. We could actually SEE the sun in the distance. The radar put us at the very edge of a storm system that shifted the slightest bit east and included our location. So we waited…and waited…and the bars opened and the appetizers came out early…an impromptu cocktail hour before the ceremony worked perfectly!
And after the sun set, the rain stopped, and we began…
Mazel Tov!
Gorgeous florals by my talented friend Tina Barrera the Special Event Florist.
The first dance quickly turned into a party. Rebeccah can get some air!
This is not the Hora. They are just this fun.
Ahhh…final wedding welcome speeches from these two awesome parents.
Awesome surprise choreographed dance moment. Love the crowd’s reaction!
A double roast/toast…well played you two. Well played.
Wishing you both years of laughter and happiness! With love, Liz
