I’ve never done anything like this before. To my knowledge none of us over here have. I’m kind of an introvert at heart and have been working away as a wedding photographer for over 10 years now.  There are so many other photogs out there hosting workshops and telling other photographers how to do things, and to be honest, I’ve never really thought it was my place to tell other people how to run their businesses. Plus I’m positive I don’t have all of the answers anyway! I don’t think any of us ever do…that’s part of life right?!

PHOTOGRAPHER AUCTION
But then my fellow photographer friend Karin Doolin (whom I adore) approached me to participate in a photographer auction to benefit her growing non-profit The Big Picture Project, and I never even thought about saying no. Actually a handful of the best photographers in the area didn’t say no either! Each day next week a small group of photographers will be auctioning off a variety of of donations. MY AUCTION
This workshop is specifically for photographers who specialize in or are hoping to focus on wedding photography. And it’s not just a little chat over some lunch. If we’re going to do this, then we’re doing it right! If you win my auction, you will receive a SIX HOUR customized, in-person mentoring session with me. Think you can handle me for that many hours straight?! My husband might want to weigh in here. ;)

Since we can’t cover 10 years worth of information in 6 hours, I want you to tell me what you want to get out of our time together, and we will dig in as deep as we can on the topics that mean the most to you. Sample topics may include…

WHY I’M DOING IT
I love The Big Picture Project. The organization uses photography to create awareness and provide life saving necessities to the people who need them the most. All photographers and artists want their work to matter…and this matters to so many. So if I can help a fellow photographer grow as an artist and business owner AND provide clean water to a village in Nicaragua by donating a day of my life, it’s a no-brainer.
